An Pucan- Galway, Ireland

The An Pucan pub is located in Galway, Ireland. We were staying at the Hyde Hotel (which was great) and were able to walk over to this pub. I started with a Guinness, served in the appropriate glass as always in Ireland and poured perfectly! We ordered the Trad Wedges, which I sadly do not have a photo of. They were spicy potato wedges, with smoked bacon, garlic mayo, melted cheddar cheese served with sour cream. These were quite possibly the best version of loaded french fries I have ever had- and my table agreed, as we fought over the last of it. I ordered the Bangers & Mashed for dinner, and again- was amazing! A good amount of delicious sausages, sitting on a pile of creamy mashed potatoes covered in a homemade brown gravy. Although I was so full– I pushed on to finish this amazing meal.

My husband ordered the seafood chowder with brown bread, which he devoured and loved.  This is definitely a place we would return too for more.  You can find their menu here on their website.  https://anpucan.ie
