Located in the the Westin Waterfront Hotel, it was good – but not great. A worthy stop if you’re staying in the hotel – but not worthy as a destination.
MJ O’Connors Irish Pub – Boston, MA
MJ O’Connors Irish Pub has a great location in The Westin Waterfront Hotel. it’s very inviting with a real Irish pub feel- complete with European taps. The menu has something for everyone- including pub favorites like Buffalo wings, burgers, chicken sandwiches, poutine- and some local favorites like clam chowder, lobster rolls, and fish & chips. They have some fancier items- like Mac n cheese with lobster or braised short rib, a steak option and more. We were seated quickly but then waited far too long for service. When we got service it wasn’t great. 
I ordered the clam chowder and it was excellent- followed by a lobster roll that was mediocre- lots of filler meat and too chopped up- but the roll was grilled perfectly. My wife order a cheddar burger with Irish bacon and caramelized onions that looked better than it tasted. All in all it was good- but not great. A worthy stop if you’re staying in the hotel- but not worthy as a destination.
