Welcoming from the start with two gentlemen playing Irish music on the guitar & the accordion.
Emmet’s Pub & Restaurant- Boston, MA
Upon entering Emmet’s Pub & Restaurant we were hit with the lovely sound of Irish music being played by a guitarist accompanied by a gentlemen playing an accordion. We were seated in a timely fashion and two perfectly poured Guinness arrived in moments. For an appetizer, the bone in buffalo wings were cooked to perfection with just the right heat- served with bleu cheese dressing & fresh carrots & celery sticks.
My son and I found ourselves bargaining for the last wing they were so good. The corned beef reuben came next- and was was not made with deli corned beef- but rather their own tender corned beef- topped with swiss cheese, sauerkraut, & Russian dressing on grilled marble Rye. Fries were a lovely skin on fry- crisp on the outside and full of potato.
The service was ok- but not worthy of 5 stars. I would, however, still HIGHLY recommend this pub if you’re near the common or the statehouse and are looking for a Great Irish pub. Food drink and “craic” are A+ here- and you can tell the crowd and the staff are having a good time.
