FLANAGAN’S BAR- CO. CLARE, IRELAND

We entered FLANAGAN’S BAR on a rainy afternoon (hard to imagine- lol) and were greeted by “Christopher” a happy kid who turned out to be our waiter.  The rest of the staff was equally warm and inviting as was the adorable pub- decorated perfectly & clean as a whistle.  We eagerly sat and I was poured an absolutely PERFECT PINT of Guinness.  Also perfect for a rainy day, was the Seafood Chowder.  The fish was caught locally- and the chowder was excellent- not to thick or thin- and served piping hot.  I was excited to see a basket of homemade brown bread & butter. served with my chowder- perfect for dunking.  My wife ordered the fish & chips(after we saw one go by)- and it came lightly battered, fresh & served hot as well.  After she drenched it in malt vinegar- she dove in and emerged with a big smile.  We enjoyed it so much we stayed for a few more pints and were never rushed to leave.  I wished I was still hungry as I watched additional plates coming out of the kitchen- each one looking more delicious than the last.  Here is a link to their facebook page for more pictures and a copy of their delicious menu: https://www.facebook.com/Flanagansoflahinch/ This is a Pub we would definitely come back to.  Service, food & atmosphere are 5 stars across the board.  https://localhours.info/en-view.php?seo=flanagans-bar-506870
